This play looks extremely complicated but the diagram is much more intimidating than the actual responsibilities on the play.  This is a great counter to the Jet Sweep and the play-action off the Jet Sweep.  After the fake from the QB the motion man is the main target of most defenses.  However, when they see he does not have the ball and the QB is dropping the secondary and LBs will drop as well (unless they are in a blitz).  The motion man tends to get lost in his blocking scheme plus we are going to read backside first so this takes the QB's attention off the motion man temporarily.  Here are our rules for this play.

QB and Cutter (motion man) Make great fakes

Cutter get low and pick up the outside charge (pass block)

QB drop (show pass and look deep)

Line block hard for 3count and release.

Line 3 go right (pull)  2 go left

bullet

Cutter and T (back side slot) release at 2 counts angle outside

QB checks left then right

bullet

Line does not wait to go down field once they have pulled wide.  They must attack any early threat.
